Selecting the best mobile content 2012

The winners will be announced in October - they will receive a call/mail. 

This year’s WSA-mobile will be split up into two phases:
Phase 1 is an Online Jury that will select the 40 best mobile products to be invited to WSA-mobile Winners’ Event in Abu Dhabi. Between September 14th and September 27th, 435 products will be evaluated by a jury group consisting of 50 members arising from different fields of expertise. They come from all continents and have backgrounds in the creative industries, telecommunication, advertising, journalism and research, as well as in teaching.

 

The Online Jury takes part in 2 rounds. In round 1, the jurors are split up in 8 Jury groups judging 8 panels (according to the 8 WSA-mobile categories). One jury group (consisting of 5 to 6 jurors) will evaluate about 60 products. The highest ranked products (10-15 products/ per category) will make it to round 2. 

After the first round, the panels will be switched: 2 categories will be merged into one and 2 jury groups will be merged into one. In the end, 4 jury groups and 4 panels/categories remain. These will be evaluated in the same way as in round 1. The highest ranked products (5 products/per category) will be invited to the WSA-mobile Winners’ Events in Abu Dhabi, February 3rd – 5th, 2013.

Phase 2 will take place in Abu Dhabi directly: The winners of each category will get the opportunity to present their products to a high level audience. Based on the presentations, a highly qualified on-site Jury will evaluate one winner per category, the “WSA-mobile champions”.

They will be awarded at the WSA-mobile Winners’ Gala in Abu Dhabi.
