Eliada Gudza, a mathematics teacher by profession has been involved in the  development of ICTs in education for nearly 30 years. He holds an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Education from Nottingham University (UK). Having worked in the Ministry of Education for 18 years as teacher and curriculum developer between 1981 and 1999, and served in the Secretariat of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into Education and Training, he joined the then World Bank funded World Links for Development Programme in 1999 as Education Coordinator and rose through the ranks to be the World Links Regional Coordinator for Southern Africa and Eritrea. In this capacity he participated and led many programs and World Links  ICT missions in Botswana, South Africa, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Nigeria. Now as Executive Director of World Links Zimbabwe, an organization that he co-founded in 2004, and has become the countrys schools networking organization and the Ministry of Education’s  ICT implementation partner, he oversees ICT projects in school and community based Telecentres countrywide.

Over the past two years Eliada has been introducing the use of Virtual Reality for learning through a two year project targeting small scale farmers in mainly rural areas and this project got a special mention in the WSA 2008-9 competition.  Eliada was  also awarded the prestigious Geoff Fairall Award in 2002 for his contribution in the development of ICTs access and usage by youths in Zimbabwe. He is also a Board member of the E-Knowledge for Women in Southern Africa (EKOWISA), Tonga Online Project in Zimbabwe and Computers for Zimbabwean Schools( CFZwS).  He has been associated with ELA since its first conference in 2007.

On  the home front Eliada is married to Ethel and they have children, Esther, Mufaro and Joshua.
