Tomi T. Ahonen is the author of nine bestselling books on mobile telecoms, technology and media, which have been translated into several languages. His latest hardcover book is “Mobileas 7th of the Mass Media”.Tomi has been quoted in over 300 press articles from Wall Street Journal, Business Week, the Economist and Financial Times on, and seen often on TV. He lectures twice per year at Oxford University and has presented papers at over 250 conferences in 40 countries.

Before starting his own consulting company in 2001, he was the Global Head of Business Consultancy for Nokia and earlier the company's first Segmentation Manager; he also oversaw Nokia's 3G Research Centre. Before that, he worked for operators/carriers in Finland, and one of the world's first internet service providers, OCSNY.

Living in Hong Kong today, he holds an MBA from St John's University New York City.
