As CEO of Themar Academy, Hala Alturki spearheads efforts to build programs of accredited vocational training and establish strategic partnerships with various government agencies and private sector institutions in the UAE. Hala is also focused on attracting and retaining competent trainers across a broad spectrum of fields and building a new generation of coaches who are able to build capacity and competencies by combining interactive features and practical, hands-on training.

Hala is also founder and partner of the Altaaat Leadership Development Institute. Since its establishment in 2011, Hala has managed to grow Altaaat to become one of Abu Dhabi’s most prestigious leadership development institutes. The T6 Storybased Leadership Development program she designed and rolled out became a major success with leading organisations across the UAE, many of whom adopted it as the official leadership development program for their senior management teams.

In her role with Altaaat, Hala trained, coached and mentored individuals holding top leadership positions including Chairmen, Board members, CEOs, and Executive Directors across government and the private sector in the region. Given the success of Altaaat, the Institute was nominated by ACTVET as one of the three centers to be given accreditation priority by NQA for the delivery of National Qualifications.
Ms. Alturki also served as Chair of the National Qualification Design Review and Validation Committee for NQA Qualifications. Prior to Hala’s role with Altaaat she held a director and then partner role with leading international consulting houses such as KPMG, EC Harris and OC&C Strategy Consultants. In her consulting capacity she successfully led numerous projects with leading entities in the private and public sector in the region, which made her a highly demanded name in the industry.

Aside of her academic and consulting role, Hala is a published author, a public speaker and executive coach and mentor to prominent leaders in the region. Ms. Alturki holds a Bachelor’s in marketing from University of Phoenix, a Masters in human resource development from Texas A&M, an executive education degree in finance and marketing from Harvard Business School and a certificate in executive coaching from Henley Business School.
