As General Director of BAAK JV, he provides strategic leadership, fiscal development, science and strategic management, creative direction for all of the BAAK JV new important for Kazakhstan information society creation initiatives, including the research, development and implementation of a diverse range of ICT items.
Since 2001 Anatol is chief constructor of National Information Technologies (Kazakhstan national operator in informatization sphere). He is also jury member of AWARD-KZ , a Kazakhstan national internet award.
Anatol is working hard in various fields of Kazakhstan information society project.

Lao People`s Democratic Republic

Vorasone Dengkayaphichith is the country representative of Jhai Foundation in Lao PDR, who has been leading different ICT projects in Lao P.D.R. including the Internet Learning Centers projects that won Stockholm Challenge awards in 2001. Vorasone is also the country coordinator of the World Links organization in Lao PDR, currently the World Links and Jhai Foundation are jointly implementing the ASEAN SchoolNet project in 10 secondary schools in partnering with the Lao ministry of education to seek sustainable solutions for mobilizing the necessary technologies, skills, and educational resources to prepare Lao students and teachers to enter the Information Age. In the past years, Vorasone has served as computer specialist for different projects in Laos including the ADB projects, JICA projects and served as the senior lecturer at the National University of Laos during 1987 to 1996.

Ms. Nancy Choy

Nancy Choy is the Head of APICTA which manages and organises the MSC Malaysia Asia Pacific ICT Awards (MSC Malaysia APICTA), an annual awards programme initiated by the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) for stimulating, benchmarking and recognising creativity, innovation and excellence in ICT in Malaysia, and for bridging the digital divide. Nancy was also one of the pioneers in the setting up of the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) which has as its flagship programme the international APICTA Awards with similar objectives to the Malaysian Awards but at an international level. There are to date 16 member economies in APICTA and Nancy is a member of the APICTA Executive Committee representing Malaysia, as well as the Deputy Chairperson of APICTA. She is also the Chair of the APICTA Finance and Governance SubCommittee. Before joining APICTA, Nancy was with the Client Services Division of MDeC, as Manager of the Software Team and before that Manager of the International Account Marketing Team, responsible for the promotion of MSC Malaysia, and the consulting and evaluation of MSC Malaysia Status applications from foreign and local ICT companies. Before joining MDeC, Nancy was with IBM Malaysia. While she was with IBM, Nancy had been Client Relations Manager of the Telecommunications & Media Unit, Leader of Special Projects in the Direct Sales Center, Sales Plan Manager, and was in Corporate Communications and in Marketing, and Marketing Support.

Nepal
Mr Ananda Raj Khanal

Ananda Raj Khanal, born in Nepal is currently Director and Action Chief at Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) , an independent and autonomous  telecom regulator of Nepal. Before joining NTA in April 2006, he was with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Kathmandu University in Nepal in the capacity of Assistant Professor and Department In-Charge. He continues to be a visiting faculty at different universities in Nepal and teaches subjects related to Telecommunications and ICTs.

Mr Khanal has taken a number of training courses related to policy, regulation and management of Telecommunications/ICTs conducted by different international institutes of repute including ITU,ACMA, PURC, APT and other regulatory agencies. He has also participated in a number of seminars, workshops, meetings, symposia dealing with Telecommunications/ICTs/Broadband.

Very active in the ITU plenipotentiary conferences, WRCs ,WTDCs and ITU-D study groups, GSRs, and APT and SATRC activities, Mr Khanal is one of the noted speaker in these fields, has given a number of key note address and served as a panelist and moderator in a number of panel discussions in  and outside the country.

He has Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications, Master of Engineering in Optical Communication. He is a gold medalist in Bachelors of Law ( LLB).

He is elected Vice Chairman of ITU-D Study Group 2 for the period 2014-2018.He had served as the Vice Rapporteur for Study Group 2 during 2010-2014.

Besides engineering in the telecom and ICTs, he has deep interest in management and leadership and also in philosophy, spiritualism. His hobbies include trekking, listening to music, reading , writing and public speaking.

Jehan has 29 years’ experience in Marketing, Communications and Interactive New media in Hong Kong, the Far East, the UAE and Pakistan. She is a motivator, an entrepreneur, a mentor, a social activist and a strong propagator of extending the power and use of Information and Communication Technologies beyond pure traditional business, to empower and enable communities. 

Advocacy through the use of cutting edge technology is one of Jehan’s passions. Using technology Jehan has brought together young people in IT and Business on a common platform. She has worked to bring together IT practitioners, bloggers, activists, innovators and citizen journalists who now work on common causes and projects whenever the need arises strengthening each others’ abilities to deliver. 

Using Social media – Facebook, blogging, video casts and Twitter – Jehan has highlighted the need for harnessing technology to combat social problems, for empowerment of women and to advocate for legislative reform.She is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences and at colleges and universities across Pakistan and the region. Josephine Cacdac is the Programs Director of Informatics Indonesia (PT Lifelong Learning). Informatics Education Ltd. is a Singapore-based multinational corporation established in 1983, with a global network of 132 centers spanning more than 23 countries worldwide; its wholly-owned subsidiary NCC Education in the UK has 300 centers in 45 countries. Josie has worked with Informatics (Philippines and Indonesia) for more than ten years, establishing partnerships with educational institutions to help promote and enhance the partners’ Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Language, and Business Management programs, among others. She is a member of numerous organizations and associations, such as the Rotary Club Jakarta Central, Philippine Computer Society, Phil. Society of IT Educators, and DigitalFilipino.com Club. She was awarded Best in Academics by Informatics Philippines and was recognized for her directorship in various projects of the Philippine Computer Society, notably in the aspect of IT curriculum re-engineering.

Republic of Korea
Ms. Jung Hee Song

Ms. Jung Hee Song joined the Korea Telecom in January 2011 and is the Chief Information Officer. Being on of the rare first generation of women in engineering in Korea, Ms. Song graduated from Seoul National University in 1981, majoring in Electronic Engineering and received her Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Holding a post in Ministry of Information and Communication between 2003 and 2006, Ms. Song played an important rule being a messenger of IT between government and IT industries. Taking an active part as IT policy Advisor to Minister of Information and Communications of Korea, she also served as Master Project Manager of IT 839, which was the major governmental IT R&D initiative.

Ms. Song is currently to attain Korea Telecom’s corporate goal of ranking top in customer satisfaction and for the new take off in IT service industry, she is spearheading KT’s business transformation while being in charge of various fields such as CRM, Costumer Satisfaction and Cloud Computing.
